Jeanne's Ballet Summer Intensive Program:

The ballet summer intensive program is for serious ballet students (usually at least 9 years old) level III, IV, and Advanced.  Classes are held Monday through Thursday for eight weeks beginning on Monday, June 1st

In addition to ballet/pointe instruction, there are classes in modern, jazz, character, variations, dance theory, and Pilates.  The program is offered in two 4-weeks sessions:

Session I: June 1 to June 25th

Session II: June 29 to July 23rd

Summer Performance:

The end of summer performance will be held at Jeanne's Mesa Studio on Friday, July 24th at 7:00 pm

The dancers should keep this entire Friday open in case extra rehearsals are called.

Tuition:

Summer balletintensive tuition is in addition to any other tuition at Jeanne's and is NOT included in unlimited rates.  Summer Intensive rates are as follows:

Level IV & Advance

  • Cost for 4-wk session is $420 each
  • Cost for 1-wk session is $140 each

Level IIIA

  • Cost for 4-wk session is $300 each
  • Cost for 1-wk session is $100 each

Level IIIB

  • Cost for 4-wk session is $210 each
  • Cost for 1-wk session is $70 each

Partial weeks are billed at $50 per day or $15 per hour.

Early Bird Special: 8 weeks paid in full by June 1st

$800 for Level IV & Advanced

$570 for Level IIIA

Your summer ballet instructions are listed below.

Sharon Seder-Meko:

Director of Ballet at Jeanne Wright's dance Academy & Founder of Ballet Etudes.  Sharon trained in Pottstown, PA with Schuykill Balley Regional Dance Co in Philadelphia and later trained as an auditioned student under Edward Canton at the Pennsylvania Ballet.  She continued her dancing career as a Soloist and Principal dancer.

Susan Sharkey, RAD:

Currently a ballet faculty member at Jeanne's and Ballet Mistress of Ballet Etudes.  Mrs. Sharkey studied in California with Eugene Loring and at Colorado College's Dance Department with Professor Norman and Dorothea Cornick, formerly Principals with the Memphis Ballet.  Sher was a Soloist in the college's performing company.  Susan began her training with American Ballet Theather under Francisca and Dimitri Romanoff, the company's Regissuer.  She went on to perform in the American Ballet Theather's corps and was later promoted to Soloist. 

Christina Hampton:

Christina teaches ballet & Pilates at Jeanne's Mesa and Queen Creek studios.  She was a professional ballet dancer and teacher for 20 years.  During her dance career, she was a Principal dancer for Minnesota Ballet, Hartford Ballet, and Ballet Florida. 

Jenny Bawden-Olson:

Jenny received her Masters degree from the University of Utah in Ballet Teaching and Choreography.  She received her BA in Ballet Performance from BYU.  Jenny's dance career has taken her to many venues throughout the world including Edinburgh, Scotland, where she danced the Principal role of Cinderella.  Currently on staff here at Jeanne's, Jenny has also assited with choreographic works for Ballet Etudes including Chinese and Toy Solider from the Nutcracker and most recently choreographed Ballet Etudes premier performance of Coppelia.   

Carley Conder:

Carley received a B.F.A. in Ballet and her M.F.A in Modern Dance from the University of Utah.  Sher has been a performing member with AZ companies Semaphor Danceworks, Scorpius Dance Theater, and Mary Fitzgerald Dance.  Carley's choregraphed work has been commisioned by UC Santa Bargara, ASU, BYU, University of Utah, University of Texas, as well as, Ballet Yuma.  Carley currently teaches at ASU and Scottsdale Community College.  She is founder and Director of CONDER/dance, a professional contemporary dance company.
