Jeanne's School of Dance

Welcome to Jeanne's School of Dance in East Mesa!  Jeanne began teaching dance in with three students.  Today, we offer the opportunity for a strong dance education through love, kindness, enthusiam, encouragement, fun and success.  We hope the information below will be valuable to you and your child.  Please feel free to contact the studio with any questions.

News and Announcements

Our 2010/2011 Fall Classes are starting Monday, August 16th. 

Come register your dancer on one of the following days:

Friday, August 6th from 4:00 to 6:30 pm.

Friday, August 13th from 4:00 to 6:30 pm.

Saturday, August 7th from 9:00 am to Noon.

Saturday, August 14th from 9:00 am to Noon.

All classes have year round enrollment.  Classes are subject to teacher evaluation and subject to change. 

Class Descriptions:

* Company Classes are denoted above and available by Teacher Invitation Only.

Beginning Combo - is for 3-5 year olds with 25 minutes of tap, 25 minutes of pre-ballet, and 10 minutes of tumbling.  Students must be potty trained to start class.

Combo II - is for 4-5 year olds who have completed Beginning Combo or for 5-6 year olds new to dance.  The class consist of 25 minutes of tap, 25 minutes of pre-ballet, and 10 minutes of tumbling. 

Combo III - Must be at least 5 year olds and have completed Combo II.  Class offers Tap, Jazz, Ballet, and/or Tumbling.

Combo IV - This class offers Tap, Jazz, Ballet, and/or Tumbling.  You must complete Combo III.

Junior Tap - This is for those who just want to tap without being in our Company classes.  This is a great second class for those who wish to improve their tap skills or work their way into our Company classes.  Must be 8 with previous Tap Level IV.

Teen Tap - This is for students 12 and up who love to tap or are working on their tap skills.  Company members may take this class as an extra tap class.  Must be able to tap at Level IV or above.

Turns & Techniques - This is essential for Jazz dancers.  This class teaches floor work for mastering turns and other jazz technique. 

Hip Hop - This class is a free from style of dance for all ages.

Contemporary - This is an expressive type of Ballet with a Jazz influence.  Must have had a Ballet class to take this class. 

Ballet - Ballet classes are for students 6 years old and above.  This is a classical ballet training.  Students must wear a black leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes, and have hair in a bun.  Placement in ballet classes will be determined by the teacher. 

Show Choir - Explores the performer through song and dance.  Must register separately from dance classes.  See contact information above.

Clogging - Must have finished Combo III or above.  This class is a tap style dance using jingle taps.  You will need to wear clogging shoes and placement is determined by teacher.
